The Venice Venice Hotel is a genuinely original idea — a Grand Canal palazzo reimagined in a self-described "post-Venetian" style: contemporary, fashion-adjacent, art-and-design-driven, a sharp break from the city's usual register. We dined here and liked it a lot.

The hotel is not in the San Marco heart of the city — the location is the honest caveat. But the arrival by private boat is exceptional: the building presents itself from the water as it was designed to be seen, and the canal view from the public rooms justifies everything that follows.
