The Relais Plaza is the more relaxed dining room of the Plaza Athénée, and during fashion week it effectively becomes the industry's commissary — a 1930s Art Deco room, modeled on the dining salon of a transatlantic liner, where the couture crowd takes lunch. It's glamorous, consistent, and a genuine piece of Avenue Montaigne history. You come for the room and the people-watching as much as the food, and the food holds up its end.
