Bill Granger brought the Australian all-day dining concept to London on Westbourne Grove and Granger & Co became, almost immediately, the city's most copied and least replicable brunch address. The ricotta hotcakes are the dish that every other brunch kitchen in London has attempted since 2011; the scrambled eggs are genuinely better than the competition without trying to explain why. The format is relaxed, the room always full, the coffee correct.
It is not the most serious kitchen in the city. It does not need to be. For a leisurely Saturday morning in Notting Hill, with eggs and coffee at the right level, there is nothing more reliable.
What We Loved
Australian-inspired all-day dining — the ricotta hotcakes are the signature, the avocado toast the classic, the grain bowls and salads the lighter option. Breakfast and lunch are the strong suits.
