First Impressions

The best bakery in Rome, and one of those addresses where the locals and the people who actually know Rome quietly converge. The Roscioli family has been baking on this corner of Campo de' Fiori for generations, and the forno is the unfussy half of the operation — no tables, no nonsense, a counter and a queue that moves.

Time it to when the pizza bianca comes out of the oven and eat it standing, with no additions. That's the move.

What We Loved
WHAT IT IS

A historic Roman bakery near Campo de' Fiori, part of the Roscioli family operation that also runs the salumeria-with-cucina around the corner. Pizza al taglio, pizza bianca and rossa, supplì, and a rotating cast of breads and pastries out of the oven all day.

THE EXPERIENCE

Time it to when the pizza bianca comes out of the oven and eat it standing, with no additions. That's the move.

THE VIBE

PIZZA BIANCA · SUPPLÌ · WHATEVER IS COMING OUT OF THE OVEN

Worth Knowing

The pizza bianca is the thing — eat it warm, on the spot, plain.

The supplì are among the best in the city.

Don't confuse it with the Salumeria con Cucina restaurant — different operation, same family, different door.

Stand at the counter. There's no seated experience and there doesn't need to be.
