The VV Review

If you've stayed at Nolinski Venezia and loved it, this is the source. The Paris Nolinski sits on the Avenue de l'Opéra in the 1st, a few steps from the Palais-Royal and the Louvre, and it set the template the Venice property follows — the same restraint, the same quality of materials, the same refusal to perform luxury at you.

It is centrally located in a way few hotels of its character manage, and it gets the details right: the bottles, the Christofle, the standard held consistently.

First Impressions

On the Avenue de l'Opéra, an address that puts you in the dead center of the Right Bank. The interior is refined and quietly assured — the Nolinski signature of luxury that doesn't announce itself.

The Rooms

Elegant, well-appointed, materially excellent. The same standard the Venice property aspires to, delivered at the original.

Food & Drink

A serious restaurant and bar — the Nolinski group takes its food and its rooms equally seriously, and it shows.

The Neighborhood

The 1st, on the Avenue de l'Opéra — the Palais-Royal and its arcades around the corner, the Louvre and the Tuileries a short walk, Rue Saint-Honoré shopping close by. As central as a Paris base gets.

Nolinski Paris is the original that the much-loved Venice hotel models itself on — central, confident, and consistently excellent. For the Palais-Royal location alone, it earns the pick.

What We Loved
THE LOCATION

Avenue de l'Opéra in the 1st — the Palais-Royal around the corner, the Louvre a short walk, Rue Saint-Honoré within reach. A genuinely central address that doesn't sacrifice character for convenience.

THE RESTRAINT

The Nolinski group has a clear point of view: luxury that doesn't perform at you. No excessive statement pieces, no lobbies designed to be photographed. The quality is in the materials and the service, not the spectacle.

THE CHRISTOFLE

Silver service at breakfast. Almost no hotel in Paris does this anymore. The operational care it requires is exactly the kind of detail that distinguishes a hotel that means it from one that merely prices itself accordingly.

THE PALAIS-ROYAL ACCESS

The arcades, the gardens, the galleries — one of the great Parisian spaces, and you are steps from it. In the morning before the tourists arrive, walking there from the hotel is one of the better things Paris offers.

THE GROUP CONSISTENCY

If you have stayed at Nolinski Venezia, you already know what this hotel is. Same standard, same ethos, same Christofle. The Paris original is the template the Venice property follows — and it shows.

Worth Knowing Before You Book

Request a room on the Palais-Royal side if possible. The outlook and the quiet are worth asking for.

This is a quieter, less Instagram-famous choice than some of the Paris palace hotels — which is precisely the point. It attracts guests who know what they are looking for.

If you have stayed at Nolinski Venezia, this is the source. If you have not, start here — the Paris property sets the standard.

The restaurant and bar are worth your time even if you are staying elsewhere in the city. The group takes its food as seriously as its rooms.

Book direct through the hotel website. The rates and breakfast inclusions are better than third-party platforms.
