Soho House Ibiza
We visited twice, not stayed. Both times were from the Mondrian — which, in retrospect, says everything you need to know about both properties.
The best hospitality we encountered in Ibiza. We came twice and didn't want to leave either time.
The setting takes a minute to understand. You expect water; you get hillside, pine trees, and quiet. The pool looks out over the interior, not the sea, which sounds like a compromise until you're sitting in it. It doesn't feel like a compromise. It feels like the island before it started performing for visitors.
Both visits — pool, drinks, dinner — landed well above what we expected. The service is warm in a way that the US outposts have largely forgotten how to do. The crowd is easy. The food is good. We didn't want to leave either time, which is a clear signal.
The membership requirement filters the booking in a way that has a visible effect on the atmosphere. Whether that's the right model is a separate conversation. The result, at least for now, is a property that feels considered rather than commercial.
More inland than you expect. The road in winds through the hills and the property doesn't announce itself — which, once you've arrived, turns out to be exactly right. Space, pine trees, a pool that looks out over the hillside. The island before it started performing.

We didn't stay — we came as day visitors, twice, from the Mondrian. The rooms follow the Soho House aesthetic: warm tones, good linens, the sense that someone thought about what you actually need. Cottages and suites. All feel correctly calibrated for where they are.
Membership is required to book. This is not standard for Soho House properties, which typically allow non-member bookings. Here it's enforced. Plan accordingly.
The pool bar is the right starting point. Order something cold and stay longer than you planned. The dinner service is genuinely good — the kitchen is taking the food seriously without making you feel like you're in a fine dining situation. We ate there both evenings we visited and had no complaints either time.
Lunch outside by the pool, dinner inside or on the terrace. Both work. The wine list is better than it needs to be.
Everything in Ibiza is approximately half an hour by car. There is no walking culture on this island — taxis are the right move. The hotel arranges them without fuss.
The northwest coast and the inland villages are the quieter version of Ibiza. This property sits in that world rather than the beach club circuit, which is either the right choice or the wrong one depending on what you came for.
Inland, hillside, pine trees. Quieter and more genuinely Ibizan than anything on the waterfront. The pool looking out over the hills rather than the sea turns out to be the right call.
Warm in a way the US outposts have largely stopped being. Both visits felt like they were designed around you rather than around the brand.
